Principal's Message

Welcome to Stony Brook School!

Welcome to a new and exciting school year at Stony Brook School!  As the principal of our wonderful 4th and 5th grade community, I am thrilled to extend to you a warm welcome. Our goal is to build a supportive environment where students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

At Stony Brook School, we believe that education is not just about textbooks and tests, but about building meaningful relationships and helping each child grow at their own unique pace. Our dedicated team of teachers and staff is committed to getting to know each student personally, understanding their individual needs, and supporting them as they reach their full potential. We recognize that every child learns differently, and we are here to provide the encouragement and resources needed to ensure that each student can excel in their own way.

We also aim to serve as a bridge between elementary and middle school. We understand that these formative years are crucial for developing the skills and confidence needed for future success. Our curriculum is designed to challenge students while also fostering independence and responsibility. We will work closely with students to prepare them for the transition to middle school, emphasizing both academic growth and the development of essential life skills.

Our school community thrives on collaboration and communication. We encourage open dialogue between students, parents, and teachers. Your involvement and feedback are vital to the success of our program and the well-being of our students. Together, we can create a supportive and engaging environment where every student feels valued and empowered.

Thank you for being an integral part of our school community. We are excited for the journey ahead and look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences. If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Here's to a fantastic year ahead!

Warm regards,

Ms. Kristen Kries, Principal
