Principal’s Message
This week Mrs. Rueger treated our families to a most wonderful art show. Projects from our students were displayed throughout our gym. It was such a nice night to celebrate such creativity! As a reminder, the last District Homework Free Night is on Wednesday, May 27th. See the flyer below for details and ideas on how to spend the evening.
This Friday, May 22nd will be a single session day for students. We will honor our veterans with our annual Memorial Day Commemoration the same morning. Details can be found below. Our personal care collection is still going on! Please send in products, as mentioned here, to benefit Hope for Veterans. Donations can be sent in with your student through Friday, the 22nd.
All 5th grade families should have received notifications this week regarding Move-Up Day (May 29th) and DARE Graduation (June 4th). We can’t wait to see you at these events to celebrate with your students.
 Have a wonderful weekend!

| School Reminders |

Daily Snack(s) We need your help with packing daily snacks. We have emergency snacks in the office for when a student occasionally forgets their snack, but we are quickly running out of those emergency snacks at this time. Please be sure to pack a snack or two for your student each day that they can enjoy during snack time. Thank you.
Parent Drop Off and Pick Up I need your help! Once you have dropped your student off, please exit the line so that we can keep all cars moving and get our students in the school as efficiently as possible. Once the buses have exited the front parking lot, cars can pull into the front lot, but must park parallel along the sidewalk. Please DO NOT pull up facing the building. Cars can pull up toward the front entrance, let their student exit on the sidewalk, and then pull forward and out. We have seen far too many close calls with potential accidents recently. Thank you very much for your assistance.
Dismissal Changes Please be sure to share changes to dismissal information with both your student’s homeroom teacher and SBSoffice@branchburg.k12.nj.us. This ensures that all students are dismissed correctly and allows us to ensure student safety.
Spirit Day Every Friday is Spirit Day! Please have your child wear spiritwear or school colors - blue and white! Free and Reduced Lunch ApplicationsA friendly reminder, the free/reduced lunch application must be re-submitted each year and does not automatically renew. A copy of the application can be found on our district website at: https://www.branchburg.k12.nj.us/student-lunch-forms

Sneakers
Sneakers are needed each day for recess. My recommendation is for our students to wear sneakers every day. If they choose to wear other footwear, please be sure that they bring a pair of sneakers with them to school each day. Alternate activities will be used for students who do not have the correct shoes on.
