Principal’s Message

Dear Stony Brook Families,

Happy Friday! We hope everyone had a great week! There are so many things happening at SBS over the next few weeks. Please read through each family update for important information.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday are Field Testing for NJSLA.  Please be sure to send your student to school with a charged Chromebook and headphones.

Friday is Halloween. Thank you to our class parents who plan and facilitate fun celebrations for all of our students. We truly appreciate all you do. Our Halloween parade will take place at 2:30.  If you are planning to take your student home from the parade, please be sure this information is entered into Genesis ahead of time. All SBS families should carefully review this document ahead of Halloween. If you have any additional questions, please contact me.

The PTO is hosting a Trunk or Treat this Saturday, October 25th. Please join in the fun!

Please use this link to access information regarding the Teacher and Educational Services Professional of the Year nominations. We need the community's support for this program. Please encourage your students to submit nominations as well. The more information you provide in your nomination the better. Thank you for taking some time to do this.

We are participating in a service learning project this year, Hope for Veterans, collecting personal care items.  This collection will conclude on November 10th.  Please see this flyer for full details.

The book fair will be held from November 10th through the 17th.  To set up an e-wallet for your student, please use this flyer. If you would like to volunteer during your students' library time, please use this linkhttps://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0D4CABAE23A4FE3-59178456-2025

Book Fair Information

A colorful display of books is arranged for a Scholastic Book Fair. The book fair will be held from November 10th through the 17th.  To set up an e-wallet for your student, please use this flyer. Sneakers

Sneakers are needed each day for recess.  My recommendation is for our students to wear sneakers every day. If they choose to wear other footwear, please be sure that they bring a pair of sneakers with them to school each day. Alternate activities will be used for students who do not have the correct shoes on.

Dismissal Changes Please be sure to share changes to dismissal information with both your student’s homeroom teacher and SBSoffice@branchburg.k12.nj.us. This ensures that all students are dismissed correctly and allows us to ensure student safety.
PTO & BEF

Please support our amazing PTO (Branchburg PTO) and BEF.  With their support, we can accomplish amazing things at Stony Brook. Please visit our website via this link for the latest updates from the BEF on their efforts to support our district.

The PTO’s spiritwear sale is on-going and is another opportunity to help support them.
