Principal’s Message
Dear Stony Brook Families,
Our first full week of the 25-26 school year is in the books! Our students are adjusting to a new school, staff and expectations nicely.
The PTO 4th Grade Family Games Night is coming up on Thursday, September 18th from 5:30-7:00pm. Please use this link for more information and to sign up. We are looking forward to a fun night of play for our 4th graders and their families. Parents might want to bring a chair to this event. Also, the PTO is starting their spiritwear sale and this is another opportunity to help support them.
This week, I was able to meet with each grade level to review our core values and share grade-specific information. Our 5th graders are excited for the opportunity to join safety patrol. The link was shared with students via email and with families via Parent Square. Assignments will be shared with students by 9/22 and will begin on 10/1. I am very excited to kick off this program and have our 5th serve as leaders within this role.
Our first parents as partners Pack Chat is being held at Stony Brook on Monday, 9/15 at 1:00 pm. We are going to discuss school and grade level transitions, common school language and our code of conduct. Please be sure to fill out this form using this link. If you are planning to attend the meeting, please bring your license and arrive a few minutes early to complete the sign-in process.
