Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures - Updated

Our student drop-off and parent-pick up procedures will look a little different this year. Please review the information below and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the front office for assistance.

Student Drop-Off

SBS Map 1

Students will be dropped off at one of two locations noted in the above by red circles.  One drop-off location will be along the right side of Cedar Grove Road.  Students would be let out of their vehicles near the sidewalk where Mr. Norman (our crossing guard) is stationed.

The second location would be directly across from the school entrance on Pine Ridge Drive.  Students would exit their vehicles on the right side of the street and wait to be crossed by Mr. Norman.

From here all students would stop at the assigned staff member to have their temperatures taken before entering the building at the locations listed above.

All 5th graders will enter the building at the school’s front entrance (blue arrow). All 4th grade students will enter the building via the band room entrance (green arrow).

Student Pick-Up

SBS Map 2

All 4th grade students will exit the building with their teacher from the exit near the green arrow.  All 5th grade students will exit the building with their teacher from the exit near the blue arrow. Teachers will select a space that will allow social distancing to occur to wait for parents to pick up their children. Teachers will initial by the name of each student, once the student has been picked up by the parent.  All homeroom teachers will let their parents know where they plan to meet for pick up to occur.

Due to our students and staff members being outside for parent pick-up, we will not be able to accommodate any parent parking in the rear of the school like in years prior. Parents and guardians will be asked to park on the street and walk back to pick up their children from parent pick up. Please be sure to always have ID with you for pick up.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we work through this new procedure in order to keep our students, staff and their families’ safe.
